Initial Comms:
6:14 PM- Rob Ayres (Off Duty UFA) reported fire up Parleys Canyon at MM134. He stated it has poor access and is about ¼ acre in size.
6:21 PM- UFA BC11 called for Working Fire Notifications. Contacted NUIFC for aircraft availability due to the sight of a large header (smoke plume).
6:24 PM- ME112 first arriving unit on scene, held short to determine strategy. At this time the fire was 10 acres and growing rapidly in mostly scrub oak/sagebrush. The fire was initially wind-driven.
8:27 PM- BC11 stated, “Mostly only going to be able to fight this fire with aircraft.”

Public Information Officer: UFA- Ryan Love
Resources: Multiple Federal, State, and Local including a VLAT (Very Large Air Tanker), multiple helicopters, and air attack.
Mandatory Evacuation: Mount Aire (250-300 cabins) evacuated by UPD. All residents have been notified by UPD.
Evacuation Center: Skyline Highschool (Coordinated by Chief Clint Mecham and SLCoEM)
HW Closures: Closures of I-80 both EB and WB in Parleys from the base of the canyon to the summit. I-80 reopened at 9:30PM and will close again tomorrow morning (08/07) at 9:00am in both directions. Exits 132 and 134 will remain closed for the duration of the incident.
Type III Regional Incident Management Team: Ordered by IC Dern and will transition 0700 tomorrow morning (08/07).

Night-Ops: Multiple crews working on the Fireline. No aircraft until tomorrow morning.
